Big Smiles For Miles Austin

Miles Austin- Miles Ahead Of His Peers

Miles Austin, many believed has come out of nowhere. This year however it seems like something happened after missing a pass by Tony Romo that led to an interception on national television. You could see Romo explaining to Austin that he was to continue with the route. It was a route that was cut off by Austin that cause the problem. But, since then Miles Austin not only has gotten the route down he has scored a touchdown in almost every game since that time.He has been elevated to the number 2 receiver position, although he performing like the number one guy.

What's so shocking about this is that Miles Austin has been playing for the Dallas Cowboys for 4 years. But, not too many people have even heard the name. At this point in the season after 6 games he has 26 catches for 563 yards and 6 touchdowns. Most of these numbers have come in the last 3 games. This is absolutely amazing. Is it really? If we go back to last years we can see that Miles Austin was coming on, but injuries slowed him down. Although, he only had 13 catches for 278 yards his average per catch was 21.4 yards. That just slightly below his 21.7 yard a catch this year.

I have always been a Miles Austin fan. I could see the talent. He's a leaper and he has speed. He is in the mode of a Randy Moss and Terrell Owens. He has Moss's ability to leap up and get the ball. He also has Moss's speed. But, his ability to gain yards after the catch is definitely a T.O trait. If he stays healthy he will be the number 1 receiver. I won't say that he is going to be one of the great one, although he looks awfully good right now.I'll just say that he is miles ahead of his peers in Big D.The rest of the receiver are definitely going to have to step it up or he will be the go to guy for years to come.

The Gustiest Performances Ever

When you talk NFL you think of tough guys. I must say there are some guys that are tougher than others. Some guys have run blind. Some guys have run with dislocated shoulders. Some guys have even played with broken bones. When you play the game you play to win at all cost. These are just some the guttiest guys to ever play the game.

What Happen To The Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys crash and burned like a jet running out of fuel at 50,000 feet. Many sportscaster and analyst say that it was the chemistry. Some blame Terrell Owens, Pac-man Jones, and Jerry Jones. What is really sad is that some Cowboy fans are blaming the once injured Tony Romo. I believe that there is a enough blame to go around. But, hold on Cowboys fans it time to consider this. The Cowboys lost four stars to injuries. They lost Romo for a few games. Jones the kickoff specialist and running back for the season, Witten has been hobbled with broken ribs and ankle injury. Marion "The Barbarian" Barber has been down with a toe injury. Roy Williams the new cowboy never really got it going. Finally, T.O was double covered like a baby in a New York winter.

You figure it out. The majority of the Cowboy offensive weapons in the last 5 or more games was down and out. How many teams have you seen recover from such a lost. These guys were at least 75 per cent of the offense. Hey! before we get out the shovel we need to really look at what happened to this team. Yes, I know what the New England Patriots have done and the Indianapolis Colts. You say the Cowboys could have done the same thing. But, let consider this. The Patriot lost Tom Brady, but they still has a reliable backup in Cassel. They also had great wideouts in Wes Welker and Randy Moss. They also has several running backs that could produce. When we look at Indy there is just no stopping a Peyton Manning. If Manning isn't enough let look at the weapons he had Reggie Wanye, Marvin Harrison and Anthony Gonzales. If that wasn't enough Dallas Clark came of the injury list at lit it up. Clark had (the last time I check) 77 receptions, 848 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Now, the Cowboys only had one running back left after Barber and Jones went down. I must give him his props. Tashard Choice is a bad mother, shut your mouth. Beside, Terrell Owen they had Crayton and Miles Austin. Cowboy fans wakeup Crayton and Austin can't be compared to Dallas Clark and Anthony Gonzales. They definitely can't be compared to Welker and Moss. Miles Austin was hurt in preseason and then went down in the regular season. This team was more hobbled that a 90 year old grandma. What about Fozell Adam and the offensive line? Romo got smacked around more than hooker who showed up without her Johns money. Media and sports fans there enough blame to go around, but I believe that when the high flying Cowboys ran out of fuel they just stopped fly like most jets. They became predictable and when you become predictable in the NFL you are dead meat. Cowboys fans you got to just wait and see what will happen next year. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. There will be a next year.
